Blocked Air Conditioning Drains - 3 Tips to Help You Fix It

Blocked Air Conditioning Drains - 3 Tips to Help You Fix It

All reverse cycle or refrigerative air conditioning systems have condensation or drain pipes to take off any condensation from the system. So what do you do if your air conditioners drain pipes get blocked? What will happen if these condensation pipes stop flowing? Below is a guide to air conditioning drain pipes with 3 ways to keep your drains clean and free from obstructions.

Drains from an air conditioner are used to take off any condensation produced by the system. If these drains come to be blocked, the air conditioner will leak water whether down the wall or through the ceiling, depending on where the air conditioner is located. So what maintenance can you do to ensure these drains stay unblocked and free of obstructions?

1. Use Water To Check The Drains - With a ducted or central air conditioner, you can check the drains by using soapy water. Firstly, ensure you turn the power off to your air conditioning system or your home. Now, once in the roof you will see a drain tray or emergency tray situated underneath the air conditioning unit. This drain removes all the moisture from your system. Pour the water into the tray and it should rush to one end where it flows down a pipe and to the outside of your home. Have man watch outside to see if this water runs out freely. These drains regularly flow out somewhere near the outdoor unit's compressor. If the drains do not flow, it is a good sign that you have a blocked drain.

2. Look For Obstructions - Obstructions like sticks and insects can precisely get up from outside into the drains and cause blockages. Insect regularly crawl up drains and may make nests with twigs or spiders may make webs which will block your air conditioning systems drains. To take off these obstructions, you can get a long flexible strap often called a snake, which you push up and down the drain to take off these obstructions. You can also blow compressed air down from the roof to try to blow the obstructions out from the pipe work.

3. take off Mold From Drains - Mold can precisely grow in your air conditioners drain causing an obstruction. To remove, put in order a water and bleach clarification and pour this down your air conditioners drains.

These 3 tips will help ensure your air conditioning systems runs problem free for many years to come.

How to Get Rid of Skunks and Their Stink

How to Get Rid of Skunks and Their Stink

Spring is in the air and so is the stink. Have you ever drove down the road in the spring time whether during the day or at night and smelled the perfume of skunk? ordinarily this is from a road killed skunk that just come out of its den and is hungry and also seeing for a mate. When they breed, male skunks will tour from one female skunk den to another, many times encountering someone else male and spraying as they fight. This is the time of year one hears about a skunk under the house and the whole house smelling like a skunk. Sometimes the skunks will spray as they are with a female. Habitancy are always seeing for a repellent for skunks and something to kill the odor of skunks. The allowable way to eliminate skunks first of all is to find where their entry point is. Most ordinarily the entry is at the base or foundation of a house or building. The hole isn't much bigger than a softball at times when it is dug out.

Skunks may look big, but under that fur their body is only about as big around as a baseball. They are exceptional diggers and can have manifold entry points. Once these entries are found, just putting moth balls or other liquid or granule repellents down won't work, these animals must be physically removed in order to solve the problem. If somebody put moth balls at your front door, would you leave? No. Moth balls are good for moths and moths only. I have certainly seen a skunk nest with moth balls in it. The stuff that you can find online that says critter repellent, shake away, etc, does not work.

Trapping is the best solution, just sealing the entry points won't work as you will be sealing them inside as skunks are a nocturnal (night active) animal. Sometimes if you have the patience you can wait at night from a length and watch the hole til the animal(s) leave when it is above 40 degrees F and then seal it up, if you have the patience is the key. One thing many Habitancy don't know about skunks is that they are a timid, shy animal. They only spray as a last defense, if you give them a way to flee they will take it instead of releasing that grand smell. One skunk can hold up to 1.5 ounces of essence and can spray up to 35 feet without the wind. Did you know they can spray without getting any scent on them? Anyway, trapping skunks is the most efficient way to take off animals. Hiring a pro that deals with skunks and knows their habits is your best choice. If you pick to do it yourself, make sure to be meticulous and not do whatever that will make a skunk feel threatened, otherwise you will be doing things to take off odor. One drop of skunk essence is sufficient to keep Habitancy away from you.

Moral of this record is don't try the cheapest fix, most commonly it is money and time wasted. A good wildlife operate pro aid is the best choice. They can then provide a permanent solution to the question so it doesn't happen again.

How To Setup an Rc Helicopter

How To Setup an Rc Helicopter

The most leading step in flying a R.C. Helicopter is the setup. If your helicopter is not setup right the bird will tip side to side, frontward or backward, or the tail could spin out of control. You can see the point of a good setup.

1. The first step in setting up a R.C. Helicopter.

· Make sure all servos are appealing in the right direction When you move the right side stick right the swash plate will tilt right etc for forward and back.
· Make sure the throttle is strict and the it does not need reversed in the radio also called the Tx.

2. Now that the servos are appealing in the right direction we need to center the servos.

· Turn on radio then plug in receiver make sure the motor is unplugged if working on galvanic helicopter.
· Move the throttle stick to half way this get all your servos to the half way position.
· Now we want to find the servo horn that will line up 90 degrees with center keep appealing till you find one that is close or dead on make sure to put in the screw when you find the one that works.

3. Next is to level the swash plate you can buy a tool for your size helicopter or you can eyeball it. · To get the swash plate level adjusts the arms that run from the servos to the swash plate.

4. Next we need to make sure the washout block is level.

· The washout block is in the middle of the swashplate and the fly bar cage.
· Make sure that both arms are level with each other if not adjust the arm that comes from the fly bar cage until level. · Next we need to make sure the fly bar arms are level
· Make sure the fly bar arms are parallel with each other if not adjust the rod that attaches to the swash plate.

5. Next is to make sure the pitch on the main blades is set.

· When at center stick throttle make sure the main blades are at zero pitch
· Full stick should be in the middle of +10 degrees to +12 degrees depending on flying style
· lowest stick should be -10 degrees to -12 degrees.

Now we have our head setup and ready to go. With everything level and working together we should have a stable flying engine this setup gives up the best chance to get off the ground. This still some things to consider in setup like pitch curves Throttle curves . Radio setup in normal but that is a field by itself.

The tail setup can be tricky sometimes I have found the best way to setup the tail is in rate mode get your servo centered then make sure your rod is adjusted I set my tail with a few degrees pitch on tail pushing the nose right too compensate for the main motor thrust on start up and to hold the nose right in a hover. That about all the information I can give not knowing the servo and gyro that is being used.

That all to the basic setup of your helicopter have fun be safe and keep it in the air have a great day!
